Minnesota Twins superstar Eduardo Escobar has been on fire since the Twins’ series in Puerto Rico earlier this month. After a two-run homer in the Twins’ 7-5 loss to the Blue Jays on Monday, the shortstop is 15-for-43 with six doubles, three dingers and seven RBIs in nine games.
Why is he on fire, well according to this tweet, it’s his encounter with famous actor Nicolas Cage. Cage must have blessed him with his Oscar swag.

He met with Nic while the team was in Puerto Rico, and apparently it’s been a game changer.

According to City Pages, Escobar uses Cage films, which include classics like Con Air, Face/Off, and Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, to assist with learning English. Which means he may have some manic moments. Take a look below to see the Best of Cage.
