Former Ohio State assistant coach Zach Smith was sentenced to 180 days in jail on Friday.  The punishment comes after he was found guilty of violating a civil protection order in December.

Smith violated the civil protection order back in May 2019 when he was arrested at his child’s elementary school after the school refused to allow him to pick up his child.

The former assistant coach was fired by Ohio State prior to the 2018 College Football season after he was accused of domestic abuse by his wife Courtney.
