Before there was Ronda Rousey, there was Gina Carano.  She took fame from mixed martial arts and turned it into a successful acting career.

A superfight between the two women who helped popularize women in MMA never happened and now we know why.  Carano revealed the details as to why it never happened during an interview with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani.

Carano described a dinner meeting she had with UFC president Dana White and former UFC owner Lorenzo Fertitta.  After the meeting they agreed to allow her to take six months to put a team back together.

According to Carano, White then put pressure on her through the media and started sending her nasty text messages.  After receiving several text messages from the UFC president, she decided to pull the plug on the superfight.
