Brandt Snedeker takes a lead of 2 shots that is he leads in the 5-Under 65 at the Houston Open golf match. The news came in before the start of the PGA tour after the uplifting the lockdown globally. This two-shot lead was registered in Vivint Houston Open’s first round. 

Top seed Dustin Johnson was struggling in returning to the golf tournament. Snedeker was seen hitting ‘back to back birdies’ from the second and picking up the shots from the close range on the 8th and 13th. The news came ushering in before the PGA tour. 

Dustin Johnson seems to struggle in the Open as he is just back from the COVID-19 recovery. The player was tested positive before the CJ cup and was asked to withdraw before the tournament. Even Jordan Spieth struggled as he just opened with ‘3-over 73’. Spieth just registered two ‘top-10 finishes out of the 18 events this year’. He was only 3-under through the 12 holes to make for the 2-double bogeys and 2-bogeys. 

These two incidents showed Snedeker might have struggled in the beginning to come in the form in 2020, but his fine start in the Vivint Houston Open and previously the Memorial Park Municipal Golf Course in the Texas area.  He is also one out of the 37 players who are set to play at the ‘Augusta National’ too.

 Brandt Snedeker said, “Drove the match great.” He further stated, “You need to be in the fairway along this golf course to stay here. It’s going to give you a tough competition, and you will be staying here for a long day.” Snedeker also stated, “Did some great job by making some putts and the par-5s. I just birdied all the par-5 out there. Even this golf course is tough, so one needs to benefit from the scoring holes. I am satisfied with the great job done on the course.”

Moreover, the tournament is the big one also as the PGA Tour is all set to start, and the ticketing sale will just be limited to 2,000 per day. It will also be the first domestic PGA tour that will have the fans after the lockdown of March 12, 2020.
