Houston defensive tackle Ed Oliver is doing the sitting out of games to avoid injury because he’s going to be drafted thing.  He was doing that on Thursday night against Tulane when he and his head coach Major Applewhite got into an argument on the sideline.

Applewhite told Oliver to take off a jacket that was for players who were playing in the game.  After taking the jacket off the two were seen arguing as they made their way into the locker room at halftime.

Applewhite is obviously not a fan of the sitting out to avoid injury thing.  He was looking for a reason to confront his star defensive tackle and did so about a jacket.

It seems like an odd thing for him to be focused on in the middle of the game.  Although the confrontation proved to not be a distraction as Houston easily took care of Tulane 48-17.
