Jets quarterback Sam Darnold played through a thumb injury for final two months of the season.  On Tuesday he had surgery on the thumb, which is on his non-throwing hand.

The injury didn’t affect Darnold’s ability to throw, but it did hinder his ability to hand the ball off with his left hand.  He isn’t expected to miss any of the Jets offseason activities
