Ezekiel Elliott’s contract discussions might be further along than we are being led to believe.  The Cowboys running back is said to have split for Cabo as his holdout continues.

Owner Jerry Jones seemed to be hinting at a lengthy holdout when he said that Dallas didn’t need the league’s leading rusher to win a Super Bowl and signed Albert Morris, a running back who is already familiar with the offense.

That could have just all been part of the Cowboys show.  According to ESPN’s Josina Anderson, the contract are progressing and when all is said and done, Zeke will be th highest paid running back in the NFL “across certain metrics.”
