The Lakers aren’t done making off-season moves. They’ve arranged things in a way that will allow them to add another max contract.
According to David Lord of 247Sports, the team is confident that they will be able to land either Kawhi Leonard or Jimmy Butler.
I was being told LA was already set to be in business with max cap room if they found a taker. And, I was told, the target will be Kawhi Leonard or Jimmy Butler, with the Lakers confident they can land one or the other.
From all of the rumors surrounding the two players intentions next season, it sounds more likely that they will be able to land Butler. But you never know in the NBA.
