Liberty is facing off against Army on Saturday in just their second game as an FBS program.  During the game Liberty punter Aidan Alves learned a lesson about targeting, when he was ejected for it attempting to make a tackle.

We’re going to guess he wasn’t in the meetings where the targeting penalty was discussed.  Because this is a pretty clear cut example of what not to do.

Alves didn’t get the message that he was just supposed to stand around and watch after he kicked the ball.  These are the kinds of dangerous things that happen when kickers and punters think they’re real football players.

Someone better teach this kid real quick about diving at the legs of the punt returner well after they have run by.  That’s punter tackling 101.
