On Saturday Michigan quarterback Shea Patterson hit receiver Niko Collins for a 44 yard touchdown.  The second quarter score put the Wolverines up 35-0 over Western Michigan.

The touchdown also ended a drought of nearly a year for Michigan receivers.  It had been 364 days since a Michigan receiver had scored a touchdown.

How in the world does that happen at one of the biggest programs in college football?  Everyone still think Jim Harbaugh is some sort of football genius?

Big Ten football is played differently, but you have to be able to score touchdowns with your receivers.  It’s a must.
