Magic Johnson Says He Has Talked to Kawhi Leonard and His Uncle

Don’t expect a decision from Kawhi Leonard anytime soon.  He will reportedly take meetings with both Los Angeles teams and the Raptors next week.

Kawhi is planning on meeting with Lakers great Magic Johnson.  According to Johnson, he has already talked to Kawhi and his uncle, Dennis Robertson. 

They haven’t yet setup a face-to-face meeting, but one could be coming next week.

Magic Johnson spoke with Leonard and his uncle, Dennis Roberston, on Sunday, Johnson told The Times. According to people familiar with the discussion, they had a positive conversation about the direction of the Lakers.

To think that the future of the Lakers could still be in Magic’s hands has to drive GM Rob Pelinka nuts.
