A man participating in a taco eating contest Tuesday at the Fresno Grizzlies minor league baseball game has died, according to the Fresno County (California) Coroner’s Office.

Hutchings collapsed during the third inning of the game between the Grizzlies and the Memphis Redbirds in the middle of the taco eating contest, witnesses reported on social media.

Taco Tuesdays have proven to be a successful promotion for the Grizzlies.

Fans get $2 tacos, $2 sodas and $2 churros, and they also hold on-field taco-eating contests.
