Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers hasn’t practiced all week and on Friday head coach Mike McCarthy confirmed that nothing has changed and he’s still day-to-day.  He did confirm that Rodgers is feeling better than he did earlier in the week.

No decision has been made yet on Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers’ playing status for Sunday, and it might not be made until the morning of the game against the Vikings.

“Nothing’s changed,” Head Coach Mike McCarthy said on Friday. “He’s clearly day to day. Hopefully he’ll do work tomorrow, but I can’t answer that question.”

McCarthy added that Saturday’s practice will be a big deal as to whether or not Rodgers will be on the field on Sunday.

“He feels better than he did at the beginning of the week,” McCarthy said. “Tomorrow’s practice will be a big indicator.

“He can play with no reps. We’ve established that point some time ago in his career. You’d like to walk off the field Saturday and have your plan set, but this is the NFL. Things happen. We’ll be ready for anything. I know he wants to play. We’ll see how it goes.”

This one is going to go down to the wire.  The Packers are obviously a much better team with Rodgers on the field, but is a Week 2 game worth risking injuring his knee further?  The oddsmakers don’t think so.
