Angels superstar Mike Trout hit his 42nd home run on Tuesday afternoon during the first inning of the first game of a double header.  The homer was a new career night for the two time MVP.

Trout is having another solid season after signing a record setting 12-year, $430 million extension with the Angels.  Unfortunately, his personal success hasn’t translated to team success.

Trout will finish the season batting around .300 with over 42 home runs and over 100 RBIs.  And the Angels will miss the playoffs a million games out of contention.
