Washington Nationals ace Max Scherzer brought his best stuff with him to the ballpark on Tuesday night.  He went eight innings only allowing two runs to score while striking out 13.

One of those innings turned in by Scherzer was a nine pitch, three strikeout inning.  That’s right, an immaculate inning.  This is the second time Scherzer has recorded an immaculate inning.

Tuesday night’s immaculate inning did come against the Tampa Bay Rays, and they are pretty much a Triple A team, but we won’t hold that against him.

Scherzer’s strong outing also helped him pickup his 10th win, if you’re not a nerd and that still means something to you.
