Cam Newton has been plagued by injuries since the Panthers’ Super Bowl run in 2015, in which he won MVP honors.
He struggled during the 2016 season and underwent rotator cuff surgery on his throwing shoulder the following March.
The injury has lingered for years since.

Even though he’s still not very far removed from his MVP season, apparently his decline is evident accordong to one GM.
