With Cam Newton now open to taking a backup job, NFL insider Field Yates has an intriguing fit for him. He thinks heading out to Seattle to backup Russell Wilson would be a good situation for the former MVP.
Yates points out that the Seahawks currently only have undrafted free agent Anthony Gordon behind Wilson. While the Seahawks starter has never missed a game, Cam would be a strong insurance policy.
