The Mets are back to doing Mets things. After picking up a little steam around the trade deadline, they’re back to losing and closing in on being elimated from the postseason.
On Wednesday Mets pitcher Noah Syndergaard had a chance to keep those fading playoff hopes alive against the Cubs. He wasn’t up for the challenge.
Syndergaard went only three innings, giving up 10 runs on nine hits during the 10-7 loss. After the game Syndergaard talked about getting his “sh*t kicked in.”
