The changes in Carolina are expected to continue. As if the the firing of Ron Rivera and the surprise retirement of Luke Kuechly weren’t enough of a change for the Panthers, they’re expected to trade Cam Newton when he’s healthy.
According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the Panthers will attempt to trade Newton in March when he’s healthy. It might have more to do with his current contract situation than with his recent string of injuries.

Newton will be making $18 million next season. That’s a very team friendly contract for a healthy Cam Newton and he could be seeking a new deal.
