Former Red Sox pitcher Pedro Martinez, who was a teammate of David Ortiz’s and is a good friend of his, talked about the shooting on MLB Network.
As one would do, when talking about their friend who was the victim of a violent crime, Pedro became emotional.

Obviously Ortiz is a good friend and means a lot to Martinez and many others. Hopefully he’s able to pay his buddy a visit in the coming days as his condition continues to improve.
