Sometimes it takes two to tango.

Phillip Lindsay felt disrespected when the Denver Broncos decided to sign Melvin Gordon in free agency, but those feelings have subsided.

Over a month after the move was made, Lindsay opened up about being upset about Denver signing Gordon.

Lindsay, who has strung together two consecutive 1,000-yard seasons, felt like Gordon was brought in to replace him.

Therefore, he felt underappreciated and slighted by the team that signed him as an undrafted rookie in 2018.

However, Lindsay began to look at the signing from the team’s perspective. That is when Lindsay realized that he and Gordon could coexist, and excel in the backfield together.

As a result, Lindsay’s disappointment turned into excitement with the addition of Gordon.

There’s no doubt that Lindsay has proved his worth as an undrafted free agent with the Broncos. In just two seasons, he’s combined for 2,485 yards and 17 touchdowns.
