Ray Rice was invited back to M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday for a reunion with some of his 2008 teammates for Baltimore’s “Legends of the Game” promotion. It’s a promotion that has taken place at every Ravens home game this season.
Not only did his former franchise welcome him back, Ravens fans did as well. They cheered for him and even chanted his name.
After the game his wife spoke, Janay, spoke about the experience, via TMZ Sports:
Ray’s wife, Janay, praised her husband after the game — saying, “It was a memorable day being welcomed back into our home of 7 years, M&T Bank Stadium!”
“I’m so proud of my husband for overcoming yet another hurdle in this journey and doing it with a smile on his face. Never once letting any circumstance change who he truly is.”
She added, “The best part about it is the people of Baltimore never wavered. You guys stayed true to us because you know who we are, for that we can’t thank you enough and we are forever grateful!! “
Who thought Ray Rice would ever step foot in an NFL stadium again? Only in Baltimore and only the Ravens. The Ravens and their fans really love criminals named Ray.
