The Philadelphia Phillies are acquiring four-time All-Star second baseman Luis Arraez from the San Francisco Giants, sources told ESPN’s Jeff Passan.
Philadelphia also gets reliever Caleb Kilian in exchange for pitching prospects Ramon Marquez and Marty Gair, The Athletic’s Jayson Stark reports.
The Phillies add more firepower to their lineup with the addition of three-time batting champion Arraez. He owns a career .318 batting average with 40 home runs and 351 RBIs over the span of eight seasons. He previously spent time with the Minnesota Twins, Miami Marlins, and San Diego Padres before signing with the Giants in February.
This season, the All-Star infielder is batting .324 to go along with four home runs, 43 RBIs, and an .810 OPS.
Arraez is scheduled to become a free agent after the 2026 campaign.
