Former Kentucky head coach Hal Mumme was injured during last weekend’s XFL game.

Mumme, now the offensive coordinator for the Dallas Renegades, was involved in a sideline collision with former Auburn running back Cameron Artis-Payne during the second quarter of Sunday’s loss to Houston.

The Renegades announced via social media on Monday that Mumme broke his leg in the hit, but he finished coaching the game from the sideline.

Mumme turned his back on the play, but he couldn’t escape Artis-Payne on the sideline.
