Russell Wilson celebrated his 31st birthday at practice on Friday.  The Seahawks quarterback is having one of his best seasons of his career and was asked about playing until he’s 45.

The MVP candidate has already said that playing until he reaches the age of 45 was a goal of his.  He explained why that was in a little more depth.

Wilson pointed to Derek Jeter’s lengthy career with the Yankees as inspiration for his desire to play into his 40s.  He also talked about what Tom Brady’s been able to do at the age of 42.
