Ryan Shazier hasn’t played in an NFL game since December of 2017 when he suffered a severe spinal cord injury after making a hit with his head lowered.  As he continues to recover from the injury, Shazier is still very much involved with the Steelers.

Pittsburgh placed Shazier on the PUP list earlier this year and is paying him a $500,000 salary.  He participates in team meetings in between rehab sessions and travels with the team for games.

On Sunday Night the 26-year-old was on the field during pregame warm-ups and was catching footballs during drills.  He still walks with a noticeable limp but has come a long way since the injury first occurred.
