It wasn’t always the case.
Between his two Super Bowl appearances and the last couple of years, Russell Wilson was struggling at times as QB of the Seahawks.
So much so, that there are now rumors circulating that the team almost traded him.

According to Chris Simms of NBC Sports, the Seahawks were rumored to have called the Cleveland Browns in 2018, inquiring about their first overall pick.
In fact, they were offering Russell Wilson in return.
