The benches cleared during the Rangers-Dodgers game in Los Angeles on Sunday night after Matt Kemp ran over the catcher.

Despite blocking the plate, catcher Robinson Chirinos wasn’t a fan of being run over and shoved Kemp after the play.  The two pushed each other then a punch was thrown and the benches cleared.

Shoutout to the third base coach for sending Kemp.  He knew the only possible outcome of Kemp’s attempt to score would be a play at the plate and possibly some fireworks.

The slow and overweight Kemp delivered.  He was out by a mile and his only shot at scoring was to could knock the ball out of the catcher’s mitt.

The Dodgers would eventually win the game in walk off fashion, 3-2 in the 11th inning.
