Titans head coach Mike Vrabel played with Tom Brady early on in his career and isn’t ready to write off the Patriots quarterback yet.  Did Brady have a down year statistically and ride his defense for a few wins this year?  Absolutely.

But as Vrabel pointed out on a conference call with the New England media, Brady is still doing many things well.  His down season says more about the offense as a whole and not any decline in his skills.

The Patriots never replaced Rob Gronkowski and failed to develop a reliable complimentary option to Julian Edelman.  On top of that, the running game has been inconsistent.

All of that and the Patriots still won 12 games.
