Running back Todd Gurley was one of several veterans not in attendance as Rams OTAs got underway on Monday.  Aqib Talib, Marcus Peters and Dante Fowler were also no-shows.

According to head coach Sean McVay, all of them informed the team ahead of time that they would not be attending.

McVay specifically talked about his Gurley, who has some lingering knee issues that limited his effectiveness in the playoffs.

Via The OCR:

“As long as we’re on the same page, we feel good about that,” McVay said. “And most importantly, Todd feels good. He’s got a lot of experience. He’s staying up to date with everything that’s going on. But that’s where we’re at with him right now.”

Good luck with convincing everyone Gurley’s knee is just fine.  Or that he’s missing OTAs for any other reason that to save it from unnecessary reps.

The Rams are going to need a healthy Todd Gurley to repeat the success they had last season.  The only problem is he may not be able to stay healthy.
