Tyson Fury is set to donate his 8 million purse from his fight against Deontay Wilder to helping the homeless and needy.

Fury was expecting to pocket the seven-figure sum after the bout ended in a draw.

But assuming he is good to his word, he will hand the entire amount to those less fortunate.

Speaking before the blockbuster fight at Los Angeles’ Staples Center, he said:

“I don’t really have much use for it, I’m not interested in becoming a millionaire or a billionaire.

“I’m a boxer not a businessman and ill probably go down the same route as every other boxer – skint at the end of it all.

“You can’t take it with you so I might as well do something with it and help out people who can’t help themselves.”

People on twitter were ecstatic, and showering Fury with love.

Let’s hope he follows thru.

That money can go a long way, and he can keep the purse from the rematch if he wants.

That’s going to be an even bigger purse.
