Andrew McCutchen left Monday night’s game after injuring his knee in a rundown against the Padres.  On Tuesday, the 32-year-old outfielder learned that he suffered a torn ACL on the play.

McCutchen’s season, his first of a three-year, $50 million deal he signed with the Phillies in the off-season, is over.  He was in the beginning stages of a solid season with a .256 batting average, 10 home runs and 29 RBIs.

Next time he needs to take my advice and not attempt the rundown.  His 32-year-old ACLs just aren’t up for it.  You make your money on the field not rehabbing.
